Payments

We do not except cheque or cash payments. A non-refundable deposit of 50% is payable to book a slot and the remaining balance plus the shipping is due on completion before the artwork is mailed. Shipping costs vary depending on the size of the portrait and will be quoted at the time of completion. It is sent via registered post.

Expected completion schedule

Portraits usually take 4 – 6 weeks to complete depending on size and number of subjects. We're happy to send photos of how the artwork is progressing when it is under construction if requested.

Framing

We do not offer framing of artwork at present.

Social Media​

Please be aware that the artwork that we create for your commission will likely be shared on this website and across our social media platforms. If it is a gift please let us know at the time of commissioning and we will not post until we are sure it has been received by the recipient. In certain instances we understand that you may not wish for the artwork to be shared, please contact us at the time of commissioning and we will be happy to discuss this based on individual circumstances.

Photographs​

The photograph must be one you have taken or have permission to use. We cannot create artwork using a copyrighted photograph, licensed design or another artist’s work without written permission from the copyright holder, therefore photographs you find on the internet will not be acceptable. A high-quality photograph is best. It must be crisp and clear as these produce the best portraits. The more detail that is in the picture the more detail we can put into your portrait! Most up to date mobile phones take very good photographs and could be used. It is best to be close-up to the pet, if you are too far away the photo will look blocky and pixelated and we will not be able to see any detail when we zoom in and we need the detail! Don’t get too close though, for example, if you are indoors the flash will distort the colours and be seen in the eyes. The best photos are always at eye level with the pet and in natural light. If you are taking a photograph from above you will not see the face. Please always send us the original photograph and not a screenshot as this reduces the quality. Always email it to us at the largest resolution. Please don’t be offended if we reject your photo, the best crisp photo’s really do make the best portraits.

There maybe times when you are unable to take another picture of your furry friend, for example if they have passed away and maybe it is a picture that isn’t as clear as we would like, please contact us with the photograph you are thinking of using and we will take a look at it for you to see if there is anything that can be done.

Copyright​

You will be receiving a one-off collage from us when commissioning us to create your fabric collage. We will never make copies of the artwork other than to display in our personal or physical portfolio. You are free to share the artwork on social media, however we would ask that you credit us as the artist wherever possible, including tagging/website link sharing etc. As the artist, Mooface Designs retains full rights to the artwork.
